This January we've been working hard learning about Picasso and his art. We then set about making some Picasso pictures of our own.
Maths Week Games
This week junior infants up to 2nd class took part in maths games as part of Maths Week. This was a little later than planned due to storm Ophelia. Despite this, all the classes had great fun actively learning through games and challenges. 2nd class worked on their 2D and 3D shapes, addition and subtraction on the interactive white board, rounding numbers, loop cards, and strategy games. A big thank you to all the parents who helped out on the day!
A big thank you to Anthony from all the class for the hard work he's put in in improving our GAA skills. It is always good fun and we are improving week by week.
2nd class have been working hard on their dancing skills with Derek this year. If we're good enough we might just put on a show some time soon! Check out some of our moves...
In the weeks leading up to Seachtain na Gaeilge, we were practicing for our ceolchoirm! We loved composing our poem along with some actions to 'Clog na Scoile'
Clog na Scoile
Éist le clog na scoile
Ding dong ding dong.
Éist más é do thoil é
Ding dong ding.
Céard a deir an clog sin?
Céard a deir an clog binn?
Ding dong ding
