If you're not in, you can't win...isn't that what they say?!..Well done to the boys and girls in 4th class A who won a goody bag from WEST CORK EGGS for their entries in a recent colouring competition run by WEST CORK EGGS! They did such a great job, they felt everyone who entered deserved a goody bag and a special well done to Klara and Bianca who won the overall competition!!!!  Well done everyone and thanks to all at WEST CORK EGGS!

Well done to Eli who surprised us this morning with his own interpretation of a classic kingfisher. Elis used bits of random Lego to create this beautiful bird with no instructions whatsoever! This is just a classic example of the type of creativity I see within 4th Class A on a daily basis! Well Done Eli !!

An Gorta Mór - The Irish Famine

Well done to the wonderfully creative 4th class A on the creation of their little Famine village. Usually, the topic of the Famine is studied on 5th class but after reading an extract from the 'hawthorn tree' in our class reader, we decided to research a little more. We researched about workhouses locally and what the daily life was like for the people of this time, We the studied the effect of the famine on Irish life and about emigration during this time!

Team work makes the dream work!!!!!

When we work together, something beautiful is created! Children individually coloured a mindfulness sheet and the result is this beautiful 2022 mosaic! We all love it,

                             Fresh Air Fridays!

Usually, if the weather is fine and the rain stays away, we take advantage of the beautiful town we live in and head off for a walk around compass hill! Teacher gives us the camera and we take some nice shots along the way!!

An Important message from our in class philosopher Thea!
