We had a busy Engineers Week, take a look at all our egg-cellent challenges!!
One of the tasks for this week was to bake/make something using at least one Fairtrade product. Take a look at these Chocolate Brownies made with Fairtrade Chocolate. They look delicious!!! (Yes, the recipe is there too) Happy Baking. Last week, Rang 5 were busy learning about Fairtrade. They put together a project with their research about Fairtrade. Did you know that Kinsale is a Fairtrade town? Take a look at their work to learn more about Fairtrade and why it is so important. Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 22nd February to 7th March. This year’s focus is on cocoa and their aim is to ensure that all farmers are paid fairly for their work and are able to earn a living income. We will be learning more about Fairtrade over the next 2 weeks! 5th Class were very busy last week learning all about Martin Luther King as part of their online learning. Féach ar an bhfíseán seo! In Gaeilge, we have been learning all about food. This recipe for a Chocolate Biscuit Cake was in Bua na Cainte so we decided to make it! Have a look at our video for the instructions! In Rang a Cúig, we have been learning all about process engineering (how things work)! As part of our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) challenges, we had to create a marble run. First, we learned how to draw 3D shapes using isometric paper. Then, we used isometric paper to draw plans for our marble runs. Finally, our plans came to life and we created our marble runs. Check our our fantastic work!! Last week, the class were asked to complete a Random Act of Kindness as their homework as part of the Heart Angel Challenge in memory of Beibhinn.
