Lockdown by Corey Taylor
Lockdown began on the 13th of March
No school, no meeting friends, no training,
And come on, it wasn’t even raining,
The sun was shining every day
but none of us could go out and play,
Lots of school work sent by teachers,
And our Moms and Dads became the teachers.
A new routine began at home
And looked forward to chatting to my friends on the phone,
Lots of exercise, fresh air and walks with my sister.
So many that I actually got a blister!
Kinsale looked so quiet, with nobody around
But there were lots of Kinsale rocks and fairy doors to be found.
More family time spent together,
A part of me wishes this could go on forever.
Lockdown has cut down on so much pollution,
Maybe mother nature thinks this is the solution?
My Coronavirus Poem by Ela Dervish
When coronavirus came
We weren’t quite ready
The schools were shut
And everyone was unsteady
Everything stopped
One after another
Everything was cancelled
I can’t see my grandmother
We miss our families
We miss our friends
We chat to our neighbours more
Hope THAT doesn’t end
The roads are quiet
I am not allowed in the shops
No more Penney’s
makes me want to have a strop
There’s lots to moan about
We could go on and on
But let’s stick to the positives
Life goes on
We spend more time as a family
Learn to bake new treats
Listen to the wild life
It’s not as bad as it seems
Sometimes life is tough
But let’s not let coronavirus win
Come on just wash your hands
and throw the tissue in the bin !
Dreams by Max Roux
Dreams are thought from past and present,
Thoughts are your mind from then and now,
Things that haunt you and make you smile,
You don't know what's happening around you
Only things that are in your mind.
