On the 6th of May last, 6th Class took part in a walking tour of our historical town, followed by a visit to the museum. The tour was led by Dermot Ryan. We begun our tour at the nearby St. Multose Church, and finished up at the Temperance Hall. We learnt many new and interesting facts about some key buildings that we pass every day. Before we returned to school, we visited the Kinsale Museum, where we were able to examine a wide array of artifacts from various periods in Irish history. Coincidentally, on the same day, the museum was being visited by relatives of the Lusitania victims, as well as the artist who recently designed a life-sized replica of the Kinsale Giant. It was a most enjoyable and educational morning for all. Thank you to Dermot Ryan.
