A great night was had by all at the annual Credit Union Quiz in the Trident Hotel in Kinsale last Monday evening. 6th class students, Tasha, Amelija, Cian and Thibaud, competed in the u13 competition. They competed outstandingly and were in contention through-out but the competition was fierce. Nevertheless the team put in an extremely impressive performance.

In the u11 competition we were treated to a night of  nail-biting excitement. On the team we had three 5th class students, Azra, Daniel and Callum, and our youngest team member on the night Carey from 4th class. Again the team were fantastic through-out and showed the perfect balance of competitiveness, teamwork and sportsmanship. In the end it went to a tie-break which was always going to be a difficult way to be beaten. Fortunately for us we came out the right side of three rounds of tie-breaker questions. Amazingly the team's first thought was not to celebrate but was to shake hands with their opposition and offer their commiserations.  

Huge credit must go to all schools that competed on the night. Thanks also to our parents and students that turned up to support our superb teams. Well done to all involved and we look forward to the next round for our u11 team.   

Scoil Naomh Eltin Open Evening will be held on Thurdsay, 9th of February from 7pm to 8.30 pm.
The closing date for enrolment applications for the school year 2017/2018 is Friday, 25th of February 2017.

The Parent Association is subsidising the overall cost of the extra - curricular activities 2016 -2017 with a donation of €1400.
The cost to Parents and Guardians for each child is €30.00 which can be paid in cash in an envelope with the child’s name on it or using the online payment system. You will receive a link by text tomorrow.  Please pay by Wednesday 8th February.

This amount may also be paid in two instalments of €15.00 each by the following dates       - Wednesday 8th February and Wednesday 8th March.
