We are delighted to be a Food Dudes School.
It is wonderful to see the colourful fruit and veg in all the lunchboxes! Scoil Naomh Eltin is delighted to have won the Gold Curious Minds Award from Science Foundation Ireland again this year. Well done to all the students and staff for all the great STEM work. We received very positive feedback from the judges that we would like to share: Your school has provided evidence of children's engagement with STEM in the following areas:
Congratulations to Scoil Naomh Eltin on achieving the SFI Curious Minds Gold Award. Scoil Naomh Eltin has presented a log of evidence of a high standard. It is clear that the learners in the school have been introduced to a wide range of hands-on student-based STEM activities calculated to deepen their understanding of STEM subjects, and develop their critical thinking skills. The investigations of the effect of colour and taste, sound amplification and the importance of bees, for example, allowed learners to experience real-life STEM activities related to their lived experience, and their environment. Well done to all the learners, teachers and all the members of the Scoil Naomh Eltin community on a successful application. Keep up the great STEM work. Members of the cast of Beauty and the Beast went to Haven Bay today to perform for the residents and staff.
They sang six songs and were delighted with the occasion. The residents also enjoyed themselves! Thanks to all for a memorable event. |
