Chess games in the classroom during wet break times has become something of a tradition at Scoil Naomh Eltin for some students in recent years. With this week's weather forecast not promising much, students can play chess online with fellow Scoil Naomh Eltin students.
Yesterday (Tuesday 5th May), 16 students experimented with the Lichess.org online chess platform and it worked smoothly. Another tournament is planned for today (Wednesday 6th May) at 5pm. It will run weekly from now on as long as there is interest (and rainy days). The tournament will last for 90 minutes.
To join us, use the step by step guide below and register for Lichess.org. Then email Mr Murray with the registered username and the student will be added to the online Scoil Naomh Eltin group.
The overall winner will of course have the opportunity to play Mr Murray!
