On Friday 9th June 2017, Scoil Naomh Eltin received their H.P.S flag. Along with this, the whole school supported the 'Giving for Living' campaign sponsored by Corks 96 FM. All the children took part in a charity walk around Kinsale. We were very lucky as Corks 96FM joined us on our charity walk. Following this, a coffee morning was held and we are delighted to announce that €697.50 was raised to support cancer services in Cork. We are all very proud and thank you to everyone that took part, donated or helped us in any way.
Friday, June 9th 2017, was a very special day for Scoil Naomh Eltin. Scoil Naomh Eltin became the latest school in the country to be presented with the 'Health Promoting Schools' Flag'. This flag was presented by a representative of the H.S.E, Mrs. Eileen Haran. Thank you to all on our H.P.S. team and especially to the co-coordinators Ms. O Driscoll and Ms. O Connor.
We are delighted to inform you that following an intensive focus on health education over the past few years, Scoil Naomh Eltin will receive its Health Promoting Schools (H.P.S) Flag on Friday June 9th at 11.00 a.m. We look forward to welcoming you all to celebrate with us.
Pupils will also partake in a charity walk on this day weather permitting. Parents are welcome to join in. Each child is asked to contribute €2.00. All monies raised will be donated for to the 96 f.m. “Giving for Living” radiothon which directly benefits all five cancer services in Cork (Mercy hospital, C.U.H. Marymount Hospice, Breakthrough Cancer Research and Cork Arc Cancer Support)
Our school P.A. will hold a coffee morning in aid of the above fundraiser in the school hall on this day also @ 12.00 p.m. approx. If you would like to support this, there will be donation boxes on each table.
Many thanks in advance for your support.
