We were very lucky to have Ian Heffernan in from The National Maritime College of Ireland to speak to 5th/6th class about Antarctica. He spoke about the ships used on his visit to Antarctica, where he spent seven years driving boats. We could have stayed listening to Ian's stories all day long. He shared stories about the journey, the weather, animals, adventures and the fun he had while exploring Antarctica, all with some amazing pictures! It was like real life David Attenborough!
