Thank you for your application to enroll your daughter / son at the Kinsale Community School.
A provisional date for assessments for incoming 1st year students will be held Saturday 27th January 2018 from 9.30 to 12.30. Assessments will be of a standardized type based on the primary school programme and do not require any specific preparation. Parents are asked to ensure that students will attend on this date. Writing paper will be supplied and thus students need only bring writing equipment.
On the 27th January 2017, each student should bring to the school a copy of his /her birth certificate and 4 passport size photographs (name on back of photo).
If your son/daughter require additional teaching hours or an exemption from the Irish language please forward the relevant documents immediately as they are mandatory to make an application to the NCSE. (Closing date for applications is 2nd February 2018). Copies of any educational/psychological assessments or an exemption from Irish should be sent to the school without delay.
Please also inform us if your son/daughter needs SNA support. If your son or daughter has had SNA support in the past it is recommended to lodge an application for the continuation of this support.
Such documents will include:
- Recent Psychological or O.T. Assessments
- Certificate of Irish exemption from your primary school
- Documents relating to any medical needs
- Reports from CAMHS
- Any other relevant documents
