It has been a very busy and enjoyable few weeks in 3rd Class B. We have been developing our gymnastics skills and have recently started swimming lessons, which we are thoroughly enjoying.
Our class collaborations have continued, with weekly visits to Senior Infants, and last Friday we joined 1st Class for a fun session of board games.
In the classroom, we have been getting creative across a range of subjects. In Maths, we explored data using Skittles to create and analyse our own results. In History, we learned about Florence Nightingale and completed detailed sketches of nightingale birds. As the Beatles Weekend recently took place in Kinsale, we also enjoyed a week-long study of The Beatles, which included some fantastic artwork inspired by their music. We also visited a beautiful Art Exhibition in our local library.
We have been busy working with clay, creating coiled hearts, and have fully embraced the spirit of Feel Good February — especially our “Together Thursdays,” where we bring in board games and spend time enjoying fun activities together.
