Bí Cineálta
This week is ‘Bí Cineálta’ (Be Kind) week at Scoil Naomh Eltin.
As part of our on-going commitment to promoting kindness and preventing bullying in our school, we will be launching our child friendly version of our Bí Cineálta Policy this week.
This whole-school initiative includes a series of age-appropriate anti-bullying lessons in every class.
Pupils are learning what constitutes bullying behaviour and how the Bí Cineálta policy is there to support them and encourage them to report such behaviours.
We are using the word STOP to help the children to remember what bullying behaviour entails: Several Times On Purpose.
To support our Bí Cineálta campaign, high-visibility Bí Cineálta messages are displayed throughout the school and on the yard, explaining how to identify bullying and how to deal with it.
We also have a dedicated Wellness Committee ensuring that kindness and anti-bullying remain at the heart of our school culture.
We encourage you to speak to your children about the Bí Cineálta Policy so that all members of our school community work together with the pupils to keep everyone safe and happy in school.
