RNLI Visit
Third Class recently welcomed Gerard Quinn from the RNLI to our school. Gerard gave the pupils an informative and engaging presentation about the important work carried out by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and how they help keep people safe at sea and along our coasts.
The children learned about water safety and discussed what to do if they ever find themselves in difficulty in the water. Gerard explained the RNLI’s “Float to Live” message, showing pupils how floating on their backs can help them stay calm, conserve energy and improve their chances of survival until help arrives.
The class greatly enjoyed the visit and had plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn more about the work of RNLI volunteers. We would like to thank Gerard for taking the time to visit our school and for sharing such valuable and potentially life-saving information with us.
