Dear Students,
Finally! It is time to pack away your books, get on your runners, go outside and get active! We have lots and lots of fun activities planned for this year's Active School Week. Make sure to send your pictures and videos to us, we can't wait to see what you get up to! Mr Murray active_school_week_chart.pdf 4th_class_plan_15th_june.pdf 5th_class_plan_15th_june.pdf Riley put together these outstanding stop motion animation videos. Fantastic! Adam took on the photography challenge and it led to a mini-history project. Here are his photo's of Kinsale Railway Bridge which is 100 years old. The last train in Kinsale was in 1931. Well done Adam!
Adam made a traditional Czeck ginger cake and it looks fantastic! Well done Adam! Bartek J. wrote a poem all about Covid-19. Well done Bartek!
Take a look at this video for some Scoil Naomh Eltin students you may recognise performing a lip sync in their garden.
www.scoilnaomheltin.ie/5th-class-ms-osullivan/lip-sync-battle-challenge Hi,
This week is all about getting those creative juices flowing. Challenges include a lip sync video, photography, stop motion animation and a number of music and visual art based tasks. Will you accept one of the challenges? 4th_class_plan_8th_june.pdf 5th_class_plan_8th_june.pdf This week is also the final week we will assign maths, English and Gaeilge tasks. Next week is Active Schools Week which will have an emphasis on physical health and wellbeing. Kind regards, Mr Murray Jack has been busy in the garden and going for walks recently! I hope everyone is getting outside during the great weather. Ruby entered an art competition organised by IT Sligo - a landscape of Kinsale town on canvas. Fantastic Ruby! Eva and Jack wrote some thoughtful poems about life in lockdown and Tomas wrote a story. Well done to all! 5th class were busy writing book reviews last week. Rachel reviewed "A Place called Perfect" by Helena Duggan (above) while Alex reviewed "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief" by Rick Riordan. Excellent work by both! Josh has created a whole report of what he's been learning and doing at home - complete with photos. Outstanding work Josh!
Hi,
As promised this week's assignments are in line with a traditional June in primary school with revision of core subjects and more focus on other areas - including a (virtual) school tour! 4th_class_plan_2nd_june.pdf 5th_class_plan_2nd_june.pdf Well done to those who helped the school achieve its goal of finishing in the top 50 schools for Manga High. We finished 44th in all of Ireland and Britain! Kind regards, Mr Murray |
