Over the past few weeks children from 3rd to 6th have participated in an after school lego club. The club has sought to promote STEAM education whereby children are using the skills of an engineer to design and construct various different structures.
Week 1: Marble Maze & Marble Run Week 2: Hex bug race track Week 3: Bridge building Week 4: Boat challenge Children have had lots of fun while displayed wonderful creativity. 5th class took part in a hurling blitz on Wednesday and Thursday last against other neighbouring schools. Everyone showcased their fantastic skills and it was remarked how much pupils from Scoil Noamh Eltin had improved. We would encourage all children and parents to get involved in the local GAA club in Kinsale. It is a fantastic way to meet new friends and have lots of fun. Well done to all!
Literacy Month was a great success here at Scoil Naomh Eltin! We enjoyed lots of fun activities like Buddy Reading with other classes and our parents, visits to the local library, National Storytelling Week games, Readers Theatre performances and many many more! Take a look at some pictures to see what we got up to! :) 07/02/18
