Wednesday February 28th saw Scoil Naomh Eltin welcome Grandparents of our Junior Infants to 1st Class students to school for Grandparents Day 2024. The day was celebrated with classroom activities, songs in the Halla and well earned cups of tea! Many thanks to those who took the time to visit us and to all those who helped in making the day special.           We are very proud of both our girls soccer teams in the FAI 5-a-side soccer competition.
Our teams finished 1st and 3rd respectively - a fantastic achievement. The girls represented their school with distinction and showed no lack of ability, skill and determination as well some generous acts of sportsmanship. The victorious team has qualified for the County Finals which will be held in Musgrave Park after Easter. Stay tuned for more details.  Well done to these 6th Class pupils who were victorious in their respective divisions at a 3v3 soccer tournament in MTU Cork Campus recently.
Congratulations to this 6th Class pupil who has the distinct record of playing in both Croke Park and Páirc uí Caoimh. What makes this feat even more impressive is that she did this before turning 12. Maith thú!  Congratulations to our three students who played a very exciting match in Virgin Media Park last Friday. They played the half time match at the U20 Ireland v Italy Six Nations game to a packed stadium and loved every minute of it! Well done boys.
