While the senior side of the school were off to the cinema, classes from Naíonáin Bheaga to Rang 2 had a special visitor today. It seems everyone is on the good list. Even the teachers!
![]() Dear Parent / Guardian, I would like to acknowledge the contribution of staff, parents and students to Scoil Naomh Eltin in 2019. Walt Disney once said ‘You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful ideas in the world, but it requires people to make the dream a reality’. The reality is that the learning experiences and projects that have taken place this year could not have happened without a great deal of commitment and support from the staff, parents and students alike. For this we are grateful. I wish our school community of parents, students and friends a safe, happy and holy Christmas and a peaceful New Year. With best wishes Susan O'Hanrahan and staff at Scoil Naomh Eltin Liam Nevin from the Mangahigh team visited Scoil Naomh Eltin on Wednesday, December 18th. He congratulated the pupils who recently partook in the Mangahigh maths challenges during maths week. Liam gave medals to the top performing students. Well done to all involved!
Comhghairdeas mór le rang a 6, bhuaigh siad an Comórtas Carúil Nollag. Rinneamar a leagan de Frosty an Fear Sneachta, bhí an craic agus spraoi againn! Go raibh maith agaibh leis na páistí agus na múinteoirí a d'oibrigh go crua. Bain taitneamh as ár bhfíseán! Nollaig Shona agus Athbhliain faoi mhaise daoibh go léir.
A huge congratulations to 6th Class who won the Gaelbhratach Christmas Carol Competition. We recorded their rendition of Frosty the Snowman, we had great fun! Thank you to all the students and teachers who worked very hard in getting this winning performance ready. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It has begun. This year's chess tournament. Gloves off. No holds barred. (But of course with all due respect and politeness to your opponent). A big thank you to Mr Murray for organising and managing everything so well. Best of luck to everyone, but most of all enjoy! Well done to our puzzle genius from 6th class who was given a 1000 piece Mensa jigsaw to complete on Wednesday and had it done by Friday!! You are amazing!!!
A big congratulations to all the winners in the First South Credit Union Art Competition. Comhghairdeas libh daltaí. Táimíd bródúil asaibh a daltaí. Everyone in Scoil Naomh Eltin is bursting with pride for our two 6th class students who represented our school this morning in St. Anthony's BNS in Cork, in the regional final of the Intel Mini Scientist Competition. Their project explored the effects of 5G. Well done girls on an amazing project.
