We always knew that the staff here at Scoil Naomh Eltin are an awfully talented bunch, so over the mid-term break they put their skills to the test. Ms. O'Connell came up with a dance routine and here is the result! Keep an eye out around Kinsale for students who will be taking part in the dance challenge this week and have a go at home with your family! We had great fun making this video and hope that you enjoy watching it. Hopefully all our amazing students will be 'home again' at school soon. Wow! A fantastic competition this week. The imagination and creativity of all the entries was wonderful to see and very difficult for the judges to pick between. Well done to everyone who took part. We hope the pancakes tasted as well as they looked! But winners there must be and so well done to the following who all get homework passes for their wonderful culinary creations: - Rainbow stack (Bianca, 2nd class) - Pancake weaving (Aibhlinn, 4th class) - Green Caterpillar (Jane Foster, Snr Infants) - The lion (Alexandra 1st class) - Teddy bear (Olivia Grabska – 5th class). Again, well done to everyone who took part. Have a lovely mid-term and take a break from your computer screens! Congratulations to all who took part in our Internet Safety Day Poster Competition. You can see from the entries we received that the standard was above and beyond our expectations. As you can imagine it was a difficult job for the judges to select the winners. So well done to the following students who each win a hot chocolate voucher! JnInf: James Buckley SnInf: Meida Gudauskyte 1st: Matilda Hadley 2nd: Patryk Hunia 3rd: Ross O’Toole 4th: Casey Schroeder 5th: Kate Stembridge 6th: Rachel Fitzgerald O’Donovan Thank you very much to the Parents' Association who generously sponsored the prizes. Again well done to all who took part and we hope to see even more entries for next week’s competition! Have a look at Scoil Naomh Eltin and all the wonderful activities we get up to in our school. Looking forward to seeing you all in September. Many thanks to Siofra Campbell, a parent in our school, for making the video. Ms O'Shea and Mr Murray are delighted to offer students from 3rd to 6th class the opportunity to play others from Scoil Naomh Eltin in a weekly online chess tournament using the Lichess.org platform (the Lichess.org platform has a safe Kid Mode feature which disables all chat functions).
