Kinsale GAA Training

IMPORTANT NOTE – PLEASE READ:    Underage Training Times (Under 6 to Under 12) for Boys, Girls Football, Camogie
 
Due to the continuing unpredictability of our lovely Irish weather J and the recent heavy rain and hail showers, the Main Pitch on Bandon Road is closed, once again, for the coming week.  Hopefully with some dry weather (ha!)  the pitch will be able to recover and be opened again next week.  A decision on this will be made by the field committee towards the end of next week.
 
Therefore, please read the information below carefully as locations and times of your childs/childrens training sessions, for the coming weekend, for Underage Boys and Girls, may have changed.
 
The information is broken down into 3 sections (1)  Boys Underage,  (2)  Ladies/Girls Football,  (3) Camogie.
 
 
(1)Boys Underage:
 
Under 6 (Born 2010 or 2011)       submitted by Pat Monaghan

• U6`S - (Born 2010 upwards ) training commences this Sunday, 10th April at 10.15am to 11:30am.
• Venue - Sports Hall in Sáile- appropriate footwear required for hall – NO STUDDED FOOTBALL BOOTS.
• April (10th, 17th , 24th ) U6 training will be in Sports Hall in Sáile, from May onwards training will be at the Main Pitch on Bandon Road(a reminder will be sent)
• We will start with Football Training for the first 3 weeks (10th, 17th , 24th ) – so children must have gum shields.
• Parents are required to stay with U6`s for entire session – many thanks for your support with this.

• You can register with the club in Sáile Hall on Sunday (information note included further down on Registration Dates).

PLEASE BRING €2 PER CHILD TO COVER THE COST OF HIRING SÁILE – MANY THANKS (there will be a bucket near the door for the €2’s).
 
Under 7 (Born 2009) and Under 8 (Born 2008)      submitted by John Barrett and Paul Forde
Time:                                                     12 noon to 1pm at Sáile for April (returning to Main Pitch, Bandon Road in May)

Time:                                                     11am to 12.15pm at ‘Seanie’s Pitch’, at Bandon Road (this is the pitch down to the left of the main pitch)
Next Training Session:                   Sunday, 10th April 2016
 
This will be a Hurling and Football Training Session so Helmets, Hurley’s, Shin-guards and gum shields please.
 
Under 9 Hurling Blitz
Now on in BALLINCOLLIG @ 9:45am
Saturday 9th April, 2016.

Time:                                                     11.30am to 12.30pm  at Sáile Sports Hall
Next Training Session:                   Sunday, 10th  April 2016
 
This will be a Hurling and Football Training Session so Helmets, Hurley’s, Shin-guards and gum shields please.
 
Under 10 Hurling Blitz:
U10 hurling blitz fixed for 9th April has been cancelled due to unplayable pitch’s.

Time:                                                     11am to 12 noon at Dunderrow Pitch
Next Training Session:                   Sunday, 10th  April 2016
 
This will be a Hurling training session so Helmets, Hurley’s, Shin-guards please.
 
 
(2)Ladies/Girls Football:     submitted by Catherine Murphy and Mairead Cronin
Age Groups:                                       Under 6 to Under 12
Time:                                                     4.45pm to 5.45pm at Sáile (main pitch closed due to recent bad weather)
Next Training Session:                    Monday, 11th April, 2016

Girls Under 14 will train in Dunderrow Pitch – Monday, 11th April from 4.45pm to 5.45pm.
 
Girls Under 16  will train at the Kinsale Community School pitch 5.45pm next Friday, 8th April.
 
Gum Shields are mandatory for Football Training.
 
 
 
(3)Camogie:
Age Groups:                              Under 6 to Under 12 (girls U13 and up are also very welcome to join up)
Time:                                            11am to 12 noon at Sáile for April 10th, 17th, 24th  (returning to Main Pitch, Bandon Road in May)
Next Training Session:          Sunday, 10th April, 2016
 
Please bring Hurley’s, Helmets, Shin-guards.
 
New Coaches:   If anybody who would like to get involved to help with Camogie Training – we’d be delighted to see some new faces giving a hand.  The more the merrier!
